artunited is pleased to present an exhibition of new work by artist Antonella Anselmo, who is born in Palermo and lives in Vienna.“Temptation” is the title that Anselmo give to her installation. It is the first time she presenting these arrangements of drawings, painted canvases and photographs, in a show. Her installation is most timely. This are mutable constellations of perception and reflection, of norms, stories, and emotions. She is writing make drawings, photographs, paintings and she is collecting texts and quotations, and arranged all these components in this exhibition.
“Temptation“ nennt die in Palermo geborene und in Wien lebende Künstlerin Antonella Anselmo ihre Bildinstallation. Zum ersten Mal stellt sie dieses Arrangement aus Zeichnungen, Fotografien und Bildleinwänden aus. Thema der Ausstellung ist die Versuchung des Fleisches und der Sinne. Die Liebenden, die verflossene Liebe, die platonische Liebe und alle Sehnsüchte die verborgen bleiben und oft unterdrückt werden. Das Wort Versuchung ist in unserem Sprachgebrauch negativ belegt, da Religionen unsere Sinne und Emotionen ordnen und vereinfachen. Ihre Arbeiten haben höchste Aktualität, denn die Künstlerin hat schon früh gegenwärtige Praktiken und Themen von Normen, Geschichten, Emotionen und Theorien vorweggenommen. Sie zeichnet, malt, fotografiert, schreibt, sammelte Texte und Zitate und akkumuliert alle Teile zu Arragments.
